{Engagements} Ernesto & Mhillet

Even though we only met them minutes before the session itself, we felt so comfortable shooting Ernesto and Mhillet’s engagement session at The Collective in Makati City. That and we had the whole place to ourselves too!

From Tin and I, we wish you the best on your big day!

Horizon Unleashed

When an invitation to document Horizon Unleashed came my way a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be the perfect way to use my talents in the service of others. As such, last Sunday was a testament to that thought. What followed was a couple of hours covering kids who don’t have as much to eat or those who work for their families at such an early age. Consider this set as my way of capturing those happy memories you had last Sunday.

Thank you Tin, Mommy Jofel and the jolly people of Horizon Ministries in Manila for this wonderful chance to use my passion for the greater good. To God be the Glory!

A Black and White Portrait

It’s almost been a week with my new Nikon 50mm f1.8G AF-S and I already had some keepers in such a short time. Before the photo itself, I’d just like to point out the new Fifty’s a joy to use wide open. The older version, which I used to have, is horrendously soft at f1.8. Not that I’d complain about it all the time because it made my shots dreamier than usual when I was in the mood to shoot at f1.8. The new Fifty is way sharper wide open and I can guarantee it’s a good choice for your first prime lens.

I’m cooking up a review sometime soon. Do watch out for that. In the meantime, a portrait in black and white.

BTW, we're turning a year soon too.
